We are thrilled to announce that Mike Florenzo has agreed to join the Sidewinders Board as Director of Player Development. Mike has been with the Sidewinders program for 5 years and has run the high school program for the last two seasons, which he will continue to do in his new capacity. As head of player development, Mike will focus on the growth and development of players and coaches. "Winning is important, but building a culture that enhances development is critical" said Florenzo. "We have a lot of momentum and I am excited to focus on the development of our players to compete at the highest levels". Mike comes with an impressive lacrosse resume playing D1 at Binghamton University (2009-2010) and D2 at Chestnut Hill College where he was coached by Brian Dougherty, former Team USA and University of MD Goalie and 2010 FIL World Lacrosse Champion.
With the addition of Florenzo, the Sidewinders organization is managed by a six-member board focused on the operations and growth of the club. We encourage all Sidewinders families to get to know the board, share your experience and insights on what is working and how we can continue to improve.
